Envirothon is the largest environmental education competition in North America. The Allegheny County event combines in-class curriculum and outdoor training to educate high school students on core environmental topics.

Urban growers are invited to join ACCD and Greater Valley's Urban Farmer Fitzhugh Shaw to discuss building soil from scratch in an urban setting.

The Food System Summit will bring together stakeholders from across the region to identify shared goals, foster cross-sector relationships, and bring more attention, engagement and momentum to the equitable and sustainable development of our regional food system.

Community members are invited to bring soil samples from their home gardens to ACCD's pop-up event in partnership with Grow Pittsburgh to be screened for lead on-site, receive results same day, and connect with experts to learn about soil health and contaminants.
