When the ACCD receives a request for records, a tracking number is assigned and ACCD’s Open Records Officer reviews the request and prepares a response. Generally, a response will be issued within five business days of the date the request is received. If additional time is required to prepare the response, ACCD may invoke a thirty calendar-day extension under the Right-to-Know Law.
Requests must describe the records sought with sufficient specificity to enable ACCD to ascertain which record is being requested. The request must include the name and address to which the response is to be sent. Right-to-Know requests cannot be anonymous. Any records request received without a name and verifiable address shall be denied.
Please see the Right-to-Know Law Citizens' Guide for additional information about requesting records from ACCD.
